Saint Michael the Archangel,
defend us in battle.
Be our protection against the wickedness and snares of the devil.
May God rebuke him, we humbly pray.
and do thou,
O Prince of the heavenly hosts,
by the power of God,
cast into hell Satan,
and all the evil spirits,
who prowl about the world seeking the ruin of souls.

O Raphael, lead us toward those we are waiting for, those who are waiting for us.   Raphael, Angel of happy meetings, lead us by the hand toward those we are looking for. May all our movements be guided by your Light and transfigured with your Joy. 

Angel, guide of Tobias, lay the request we now address to you at the feet of Him on whose unveiled Face you are privileged to gaze.  Lonely and tired, crushed by the separations and sorrows of life, we feel the need of calling you and of pleading for the protection of your wings, so that we may not be as strangers in the province of joy, all ignorant of the concerns of our country. 

Remember the weak, you who are strong, you whose home lies beyond the region of thunder, in a land that is always peaceful, always serene and bright with the resplendent glory of God.  Amen.

Lord, You invite all who are burdened to come to you.  Allow Your healing Hand to heal me.  Touch my soul with Your compassion for others; touch my heart with Your courage and infinite Love for all; touch my mind with Your Wisdom, and may my mouth always proclaim Your praise.  Teach me to reach out to You in all my needs, and help me to lead others to You by my example.  Most loving Heart of Jesus, bring me health in body and spirit that I may serve You with all my strength.  Touch gently this life which you have created, now and forever, Amen


O Lord,
Only you know how hard life has been for me.
Only you have seen each moment of my day and night.
Only you feel my pain and understand my discomfort.
Only you are beside me through my grief and sorrow.
Only you have been within each moment to comfort me.
O Lord, break through the loneliness of my suffering.
You have encountered sorrow and laid a glorious path
Of hope, healing and the promise of heaven in my heart, Amen


Dear Jesus, You are the healer, I am the afflicted.  I wish that I could reach out and touch Your garment Lord, for I am in need of your healing.  Unworthy though I am, I humbly beg Your mercy in my hour of human frailty. Compassionate Jesus, You have cured the sick and infirm, given sight to the blind and restored hearing to the deaf.  In Your greatness, nothing is impossible.  If it is Your will, strengthen and protect me until I am well again, Amen
 

My Jesus, I believe that You are present in the Most Holy Sacrament.  I love You above all things, and I desire to receive You into my soul. Since I cannot at this moment receive You sacramentally, come at least spiritually into my heart.  I embrace You as if You were already there and unite myself wholly to you.  Never permit me to be separated from you. Amen. 

          

Consoling God,
be a source of serenity for me
When struggles and difficulties
Threaten to overwhelm me.
God of hope, assure me of your unconditional love
When I doubt myself
Or question the worth of my life.
Truth bringing God,
Encourage me to embrace you
During those times when I get lost
In the lies of my weakness.
Compassionate God hold me to your heart.
When I feel helpless
In the face of the world’s pain.
Light-filled God

when bleakness surrounds my life.
Comforting God,
Shelter me under your wings.
when I am engulfed in sadness

God of peace,
You are the center of my life.

In the whirlwind of my pain.

And a constant assurance of Hope.
 

O Heavenly Father, God of Love, You gave us Your Son Jesus to be not only Physician of our souls but also Healer of our bodies and minds. Lord Jesus, We turn to You in this time of illness. Please come to us now, and lay Your healing hand on us and all who are in need of your Mercy. Let the warmth, peace and healing power of Your Spirit fill all of us now with Your life and love. We receive You, Lord Jesus! Heal us according to Your Divine Will, Lord Jesus, and enable us to serve You with a healthy body, soul, and spirit. May Your Joy, O Lord, be our strength this day. Amen.

Dear Jesus, Divine Physician and Healer of the sick, we turn to you in this time of illness.  O dearest comforter of the troubled, alleviate our worry and sorrow with your gentle love, and grant us the grace and strength to accept this burden.  Dear God, we place our worries in your hands.  We place our sick under your care and humbly ask that you restore your servant to health again.  Above all, grant us the grace to acknowledge your will and know that whatever you do, you do for the love of us. Through Christ our Lord, Amen



Merciful God, giver of life and health; Bless, I humbly pray, your servant, [Name], and those who administer to him/her with your healing gifts; that he/she may be restored to health of body and of mind; through Jesus Christ our Lord, Amen



Think, o God, of our friend who is ill, whom we now commend to Your compassionate regard.  Comfort him/her upon his/her sickbed, and ease his/her suffering.  We beg for deliverance, and submit that no healing is too hard for the Lord, if it be His will.  We therefore pray that You bless our friend with Your loving care, renew his/her strength, and heal what ails him/her in Your loving name, Amen



O Father of mercies, God of all comfort and our help in time of need: We humbly beseech thee to behold, visit, and relieve thy sick servant (Name) for whom our prayers are desired.  Look upon him/her with the eyes of thy mercy; comfort him/her with a sense of thy goodness; preserve him/her from the temptations of the enemy; and give him/her patience under his/her affliction.  In thy good time, restore him/her to health, and enable him/her to lead the rest of his/her life in thy light and glory; and grant that finally he/she may dwell with thee in life everlasting; through Jesus Christ our Lord, Amen

Almighty and most merciful God I bring before You this child who is suffering such pain and discomfort – and I ask that in Your grace and mercy You would raise them back up into full health and strength and work a speedy recovery. The Lord Jesus took little children in His arms of love and blessed them and I pray that in a very special way You would put Your arms of love and blessing  round this little one and minister to each need and every pain. Little ones do not understand why they are feeling so poorly and I just ask that You would have compassion for this little child and take away any fear and pain – and multiply Your grace so that they come to a quick and lasting recovery. Thank You Lord in Jesus name we pray, Amen

Loving Father, I entrust myself to Your care thus day. Guide with wisdom and skill the minds and hands of those who minister in Your name and grant that every cause of illness be removed and I may be restored to soundness of health and learn to live in more perfect harmony with You and with all people through Jesus Christ.  Into Your hands I commend my body and my soul, Amen

Blessed Savior, I thank You that this operation is safely past and now I rest in Your abiding presence, relaxing every tension, releasing every care and anxiety and receiving more and more of Your healing life into every part of my being.
In moments of pain I turn to You for strength. In times of loneliness I feel Your loving nearness.  Grant that Your life, love and joy may flow through me for healing of others in Your name, Amen

Lord, Your scripture says that whoever believes in You will not perish but have an everlasting life.  Strengthen (Name), Lord, in this time of illness. Sustain him/her as he/she lays sick in his/her bed.  When You were on Earth, you did all things good and healed all kinds of sickness.  You healed those who had diseases.  You died and rose for our sins and that we may have eternal life. 
I believe in my heart that You are here with us today and that with Your most holy power will remove all sicknesses and evils that roam the earth.
Let it be done in Your glory, through Christ our Lord, Amen



God of healing mercy, in Jesus your Son you stretch out your hand in compassion, restoring the sinner, healing the sick, and lifting up those bowed down.  Embrace us now in your loving care, particularly those afflicted with cancer, for whom this intention is offered.  May the Spirit of Jesus bring us all health in soul and body, that with joy and thanksgiving we may praise you for your goodness, through the same Jesus Christ ourLord, Amen



Mary, you brought forth into our world Jesus Christ, our Divine Healer.  In your caring goodness, intercede for (Name), who is truly in need of miraculous assistance.  If it be God’s will, I ask this day that the gift of healing from all forms of cancer be granted to (Name).  Comfort him/her during times of anguish, pain, confusion and despair.  Ask our gracious Savior to grant him/her physical health, inner peace and patience in suffering.  May God’s healing graces grant (Name) a life of happiness, health and fulfillment here on earth, and one day the joy of eternal glory in His loving embrace.  Through Christ our Lord, Amen

Almighty and merciful God, who hast bestowed upon mankind saving remedies and the gift of everlasting life, look graciously upon us Thy servants and comfort the souls which Thou hast made, that, in the hour of their passing, cleansed from all stain of sin, they may deserve to be presented to Thee, their Creator, by the hands of the holy angels. Through Christ our Lord, Amen



Go forth, Christian soul, from this world in the name of God the almighty Father, who created you, in the name of Jesus Christ, Son of the living God, who suffered for you, in the name of the Holy Spirit, who was poured out upon you, go forth, faithful Christian.
