What is the endowment purpose?    To ensure quality and longevity of all aspects of Catholic education in the community of St. Michael's Parish.  

Working to ensure the future of St. Michael's School, Religious Education, and Adult Education. St. Michael's Catholic Community was dedicated in 1888 as a mission church to St. Mary's in Marne. It achieved parish status in 1950 assigned to Fr. Charles Salatka. In 1961 Fr. Salatka began a fund raising campaign to build a new church, school, and convent. Fr. Salatka believed the "soul of education, is the education of the soul" and with this strong emphasis on education, along with the financial commitment of the parish community, St. Michael's School and Religious Education were formed. Through the years, St. Michael's parishioners have continued to provide education programs such as Religious Education, Youth Ministry, RCIA and Adult Education to ensure better understanding of our Catholic faith.  

How are the funds distributed? A Board of Trustees operating under strict bylaws and using only the interest shall determine how the funds are distributed to each education program. The fund will only be used for St. Michael's Education Programs.  

What can you do? Please make your donations, be it $5.00, $50.00 or $500.00. Donations of any size are gratefully accepted. Your generosity will help ensure that the education programs at St. Michael's will continue. For "The soul of the education, is the education of the soul".  

Other Methods of Contributions: Make the Endowment a beneficiary to your life insurance policy. Include the Endowment in your will. Encourage others to place a great importance on Catholic Education by contributing to St. Michael's Endowment. Money, stock, bonds, mutual funds......... A great way to avoid capital gains taxes.
