God the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ
has freed you from sin,
given you a new birth by water and the Holy Spirit,
and welcomed you into his holy people.
He now anoints you with the chrism of salvation.
As we anoint Priest, Prophet and King,
so may you always live as a member of his body,
sharing everlasting life. (Rite of Baptism)

This Sacrament "is the second of the Initiation
Sacraments. It perfects baptismal grace;
it is the Sacrament which gives the Holy Spirit ...
to incorporate us more firmly into Christ,
strengthen our bond with the Church,
associate us more closely with her mission,
and help us bear witness to the Christian faith
in words accompanied by deeds."
(Catechism #1913)

The cup of blessing that we bless,
is it not a participation in the Blood of Christ?
The bread that we break,
is it not a participation in the Body of Christ?
Because the loaf of bread is one,
we, though many, are one body,
for we all partake of the one loaf.
-1 Cor 10:16-17

God of all consolation,
you chose and sent your Son to heal the world.
Graciously listen to our prayer of faith:
Send the power of your Holy Spirit, the Consoler,
into this precious oil, this soothing ointment,
this rich gift, this fruit of the earth.
Make this oil a remedy for all
who are anointed with it;
heal them in body, soul, and in spirit,
and deliver them from every affliction.
(Pastoral care of the Sick)

The Sacrament of Matrimony signifies the union
of Christ and the Church. It gives spouses the
grace to love each other with the love with which
Christ has loved the Church. The grace of the
sacrament thus perfects the human love of the
spouses, strengthens their indissoluble unity,
and sanctifies them on the way to eternal life."
(Catechism) #1661
When are Weddings celebrated?
Arrangements for the Sacrament of Matrimony
must be made at least six months in advance
by calling the Parish Office.
